If they are trying to impress me they are not.

If you ask me, I hope we see more of this. You are getting 1 off levels that have the change to live just by being DLC. Seriously, this is super cool news for LEGO Game and Comic fans alike. Or Batman Beyond or Mask of the Phantasm. Maybe New Frontier or The Long Halloween.

Maybe a level from Batman Hush or Dark Knight Returns?! How about All Star Superman or Death of Superman. And who knows what the additional 3 levels will be.

We are getting a Comics Classic Batman Level and a Man of Steel movie set. However, by adding additional levels, they can pull from comics or movies or stuff that you probably would never see otherwise. They won't make a LEGO Nolan Trilogy Game. And it is something you will NEVER play as it's own game. As an example, in the Dark Knight DLC you will playing as Dark Knight Batman through the semi chase scene from the film.

With those packs we are getting 1 new level with story and free play. That story will be told and completed within the retail release. You buy the game and you get Batman's adventure in space. This is completely stand alone experiences. This is not Mass Effect adding a new ending and changing stuff. HOWEVER, to counter your argument, the content here looks like the opposite of what the internet hates, and what you allude too. So, getting new content on day 3, knowing that I probably won't play it for weeks, does seam a little over kill. Heck, I'm still playing LEGO Marvel almost a year after launch. Some people will, but I like to play to as close to 100% as I can get. I think that is too early, strictly because, I don't imagine I will be finished with the main game in 3 days. I'll take it easier on them knowing it's what, like $20 or less US? It just stings a little and even if it's just perception, doesn't make me feel good to see that much content rolling out three days after the game even launches.īut maybe that's just #9 (Jay), rather than a thumbs down, I'd like to make a counter point. It looks like there will be three more after these three, and that's fine, but the first three being pretty much immediate just makes me cringe as a consumer. but man, this one just doesn't have a good look. I love these games and whatever, I'm buying it, but even if it's just perception and not reality, this is the type of stuff that just doesn't sit well with me. Three days? It looks like they said "hey, we'll just cut this and add it after." Maybe released it a month after launch or whatever. This wouldn't look like such a cash grab if they staggered it a little. We've all wanted more content once the game was over. I understand that once the game is done, it is done and they can begin potentially working on other stuff, but to launch it three days after the game comes out? Yeah. Details about the additional content will be revealed at a later date. Gain access to three additional game packs, featuring new playable characters, vehicles and levels. Be the Batman and play as some of the most iconic faces of Batman through the years, including his first appearance in Detective Comics #27. Play as Joker and Harley, setting up a variety of celebration set pieces. Find a way inside Jor-El’s home, fight General Zod’s invading forces and battle against Zod himself to save Superman. Help Jor-El, his wife Lara and their robot Kelex send the infant Superman “Kal-el” into space towards the safety of Earth as Krypton falls into chaos. Bane and Catwoman from the third film are also playable. Play as the legendary Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon, as well as the Joker and his goons as they chase down Harvey Dent’s police escort. The Dark Knight Pack (available 14/11/14)Įxperience the heart-pounding chase scene from the iconic film complete with cool vehicles and explosive action.
